May 22, 1944 –  February 5, 2016  Funeral services for Naoma “Sue” Akin, 71, formally of Sadler, will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, February 8, 2016 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Sadler Cemetery in Sadler. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Ms. Akin passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Sue was born on May 22, 1944 in Sherman, Texas to Francis L. Akin and Princess (Clinton) Akin. She grew-up and went to school in Sadler, along with attending church with her parents at the Sadler Baptist Church. Sue loved her three dogs and her family.
Survivors include son, Joe Alexander and wife, Debra, of Valley, AL; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie Akin and wife, Frances, of Sanger, TX and Frank Akin and companion, Ruby Shuman, of Gordonville, TX; a sister, Janice Heard of Wichita Falls, TX; three nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Princess Akin, and son, Tommy Alexander.
Pallbearers are: Robert Daniels, Dale Riddle, Lucas Alexander, Santiago Carrizo, and Kent Fehr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
