November 18, 1916 –  April 24, 2014  LOZETTA MARGARETTE RIDDLECOLLINSVILLE – Graveside services for Lozetta Margarette Riddle, 97, will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Oakwood Cemetery Pavillion in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. There will be no visitation services.
She passed away on April 24, 2014 in Collinsville, Texas.
Lozetta was born on November 18, 1916 near Childress, Texas to James Thomas and Margarette Elizabeth (Phillips) Crenshaw. She married Guy W. Riddle on March 6, 1937 in Sherman, Texas. They were married until his passing in July 1980. She and her husband were in the grocery business for many years, and she was an extremely hard worker. She loved to play dominos. She was a member of the North Hills Baptist Church in Whitesboro. She was a foster-grandmother for the Denton State School for over 20 years.
She is survived by her son Danny G. Riddle; granddaughters: Teri Carver of San Francisco; CA; and Carla Phillips of San Francisco, CA; seven great-grandchildren; niece, Joann Smart of Whitesboro, TX; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margarette Crenshaw; her husband, Guy W. Riddle; and her siblings: Jessie B. Crenshaw, Hubert Crenshaw, Tom “Buddy” Crenshaw; Lottie Crenshaw, and Iona Smart.
The honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Snow, Cameron Snow, Richard Andrews, Andy Hammer, D. J. Roberts, and Tim Boaz.
