He passed away at Whitesboro Health and Rehab in Whitesboro, Texas on July 11, 2013. No services have been planned.Leo was born on December 30, 1936 to Leo, Sr. and Dorothy (Martin) Edwards in Mason, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy for four years. He married Judy Lear on August 7, 1959 in Georgia. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a Shriner in Michigan. He enjoyed traveling and horses. He moved to the Whitesboro area in 1983. He traveled extensively with his work in the oil fields.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Edwards, of Whitesboro, TX; his daughters: Rhonda Simmons and her husband, Bubba, of Whitesboro, TX; and Robbin Kinley of Van Alstyne, TX; three grandchildren: Jamie Lee Finch, Jessica Kinley and Robert Colt Simmons; three great-grandchildren; and his siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo, Sr. and Dorothy Edwards; his brother, Joe Edwards; and his sister, Frances Arnett.
