October 13, 1946 –  February 8, 2012  Funeral services for Valley View resident, Kathy Haislip, will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 10th at First Baptist Church, Valley View with Rev. Glen Kersey, church pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Alan Tapp, Bucky Martindale, Kent Hinzon, Tommy Russell, Louis Lee Baty, Keith Nichols, Mark Lytle and Steve Baty will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
Kathy Haislip passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Integrity Transitional Hospitial in Denton at the age of 65. Kathy was born in Crowell, Texas on October 13, 1946 to James Andrew and Billye Jo (Scott) Joy. She was a graduate of Valley View High School and North Central Texas College School of Nursing. Kathy loved music, family board games, needle point, photo albums and scrapbooks. She was a member of First Baptist Valley View.

Survivors of Mrs. Haislip include, son, Eli Haislip; step-son, Stonee Haislip, Jr.; mother, Billye Joy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janis and Ronnie Farrell, Sherry and Max Martindale; brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Joy; nieces and nephews, Jeffery and Anita McCoy, Garrett and Heather McCoy, Rhonda Martindale, Mason and Maya Covington, Joe Sevilla, Dillon Martindale, Jordon Martindale, Bucky and Sabrina Martindale; Cheyane, Ashley, and Hunter Martindale, Cindy Martindale, Meranda Hinzman, Kent Hinzman, Samuel and Lucas Hinzman and Dakota Martindale. She was preceded in death by her father, Andy Joy.
