January 6, 1945 –  December 29, 2006  Whitesboro – Funeral services for Jimmie Ray Hazelwood age 61, will be at 2:00 P.M Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home with Reverend Rusty Denny of Mt.Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church officiating, directed by Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Internment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 1, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hazelwood passed away December 29, 2006 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. Jimmie was born in Sherman January 6, 1945 to Roy Vance Hazelwood and Annie McKnight Hazelwood. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1152 of Denison and will have Masonic Rites at the Cemetery.

Jimmie is survived by his wife Sherry Hazelwood of Whitesboro, daughters, Laura Bagwell and husband Orland of Sadler, Lisa Jones of Whitesboro, sister Loyce Palkow of Whitesboro, brother Jackie Hazelwood of Canyon, Texas, sister Janis Hazelwood, California, granddaughters, Amanda and Brittany Bagwell, grandsons, Justin Jack, Bradlee and Ryan Jones of Whitesboro. Extended family includes good friend Karen Luck and sons Shawn and Erick Luck, Peanut, grandchildren, Nikki, Heather and Michael Luck, Q.T. Luck and Hunter Peterson. Nieces include Dee Dee Pilon of California, and Amy Squires. Nephews are Lincoln Erwin, Jon Erwin, and Charlie Hazelwood .

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Lillian Hazelwood, sister, Shirley Hazelwood, brother, Royce Hazelwood and sister, Judy Erwin.

Pallbearers are: Eric Luck, Shawn Luck, Lincoln Erwin, Jon Erwin, Bill Hazelwood, Ronny Dobbs.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Masonic Lodge #1152 members.
