Funeral Services for James Clark (Jim) Cappleman, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Petty, Texas. Friends and family will gather at 1 p.m., prior to the service.
Jim passed away on Monday, May 25, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
He was born on May 24, 1928 in Honey Grove, Texas to Lester James Cappleman and Ruby Lee (Dawson) Cappleman. Jim graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, attended Baylor University, served in the Air Force National Guard and was retired as a V.P. of Inter Motel Leasing. He loved the water (especially boating), dogs, singing and hunting. Jim was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Ann McFarland of Dallas, a nephew, James McFarland and wife Carelgean of Frisco, a niece, Dr. Julie Hagood and husband, Dr. Robert Hagood of Dallas, a great-niece, Macie McFarland, 2 great-nephews, Johnathan James Hagood, Ryan Miller Hagood and numerous cousins.
