James “Buddy” Harden, 65, of Whitesboro, Texas, went home June 19, 2018, in Denison, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. Services will be conducted at the Fairview Cemetery by Rev. Tim McLaughlin, on June 22, 2018, at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas, on June 21, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Buddy was born in Abilene, Texas, on November 26, 1952, to James Luther Harden and Meda Lou (Henry) Harden. He joined the United States Army in 1972 and served overseas in Korea as a VEB Mechanic and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Sharp Shooter Badge M-16.

He married Linda Denise on February 11, 1978 in Abilene, Texas. He got remarried to Lynn Patrick in Gainesville on August 28, 2010. He is survived by his wife, son James Harden, Jr. and fiance Theresa Reynolds of Gainesville, three daughters; Mandy Snow of Abilene, Staci Snow and fiance Nakay Moore of Whitesboro, and Jessica Holland of Whitesboro. Son-in-law, Matthew Holland. Eight grandchildren. Two brothers, Willie McInis and Samuel McInis, one sister, Alice Berryhill, and niece Audrey Stayton-Paul of Whitesboro.

He was preceded in death by his mother Meda Lou, father James, step-father Willie McInis, first wife Linda, daughter Audra Lynn and sister Annie Louise.

He drove a truck professionally most of his life, and brought joy and humor to all who knew him. http://videos.lifetributes.com/902518
