October 3, 1923 – August 23, 2006 WHITESBORO รข?? Graveside services for George Albert Clay will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 25, 2006 at Isom Cemetery in Denison with Rev. Lester Scally officiating, directed by Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Clay passed away Thursday, August 23, 2006 at the Whitesboro Nursing Center.
George was born on October 3, 1923 to George Opie and Edna Faye (Rice) Clay in Bells, Texas. He married Melba Morris on December 28, 1945 in Carthage, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Clay of Whitesboro; a daughter, Donna Drewry of Mena, AR; a grandson, Brian Aday of Garland; three sisters, Faye Darnell of Denison, Pat Morrison of Whitewright and Alma Boughner of Whitewright; a half sister, Shirley Richardson of Whitewright; dear friend and caregiver, Kimberly K. Sellers and husband Lee of Whitesboro and honorary grandchildren, Stephen Muise, Alysyn Muise and Jake Norris.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Clay.
