February 10, 1918 –  May 12, 2012  WHITESBORO â?? Graveside services for Dorothy R. Snyder, 94, are planned for Monday, May 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home. Family visitation will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.Dorothy passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Denison, Texas.
She was born to George W., Sr. and Emma Bell (Tamplen) Roland on February 10, 1918 in Whitesboro, Texas. She was a retired Social Security supervisor. She moved from Texas to Chicago and later to Florida. She retired to Lake Kiowa and then to Sherman. She liked to travel. She enjoyed fishing and was active in sports. She was a very loving, giving and caring person.
She is survived by her brother, George W. â??Dubâ? Roland, Jr. of Whitesboro; and sister, Jane Faulkner of Sherman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Snyder; her parents, and her siblings: Kathryn, Frances, Glennis, Edith, Gussie Lee, Lucile and Billy Joe.
