May 6, 1944 –  October 5, 2015  WHITESBORO- Celebration of Life Services for Donald Clay Griffin, 71, of Whitesboro will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. He died October 5, 2015 at his home in Whitesboro, Texas. Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro is in charge of cremation arrangements. He was born to William (Bill) Griffin and Helen (Walker) Griffen May 6, 1944, in Sherman, Texas. He worked for years at the peanut dryer and loved walking with his friends, going to the coffee shop and playing dominoes. He was a member of Sadler Methodist Church, Sadler, Texas. He was also a big Dallas Cowboys football fan. He is survived by 2 sisters; Brenda May and husband, Richard of Sadler, and Lue McCray of Sherman; 2 brothers, Billy R. Griffin and wife, Judy of Alabama and James Griffin of Denison; aunt and uncle, Pat and Claude Tamplin of Gainesville and Lindy and Geraldine Walker of Whitesboro; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Griffin. Memorials made be made to Sadler Methodist Church, P. O.
