June 6, 1933 –  March 31, 2014  A. R. “Burr” McClinton, 80, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at his residence in Gainesville. Burr was born June 6, 1933 in Electra, Texas to John William and Arizona (Roberson) McClinton. He married Donna Gayle Woodall June 22, 1953 in Grants, New Mexico. Mr. McClinton worked in the oilfield as a welder before retiring.
Family visitation for Burr McClinton, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2nd at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. There will be a private family graveside service on Thurs day at Fairview Cemetery with grandson, Kaji Price officiating.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Conna McClinton of Callisburg; daughter, Peggy McClinton of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Kim McClinton of Callisburg; daughter, Belva McClinton of Gainesville; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jackson of Bertram, TX and sister-in-law, Aunt Dodie Smith of Gainesville.
