June 16, 1919 – May 27, 2011 Family visitation for Wilma Pauline Briley will be held at Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas on Friday, June 3rd at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to meet her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2011 at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her loved ones in the hours preceding her death.
Ms. Briley was born on June 16, 1919 in Gainesville, Texas and married Earl Briley on September 1, 1946. She lived in Gainesville more that 80 years and was a member of Harvey Street Baptist Church, Grand Avenue Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church, all of Gainesville. She was a current member of Terrace Acres Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas where she resided. She worked at Linda Jo Shoe Factory before her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband Kenny Farris of Fort Worth; grandsons, Chris Farris of Grapevine, Scott Farris and wife Laura of Fort Worth and great-granddaughters, Olivia and Lindsey Farris of Fort Worth. She is also survived by two sisters, Lilly Truitt and Margaret Harvey and husband Luther of Longview and two sisters-in-law, Kay and Nadine Roberts of Gainesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl; brothers, Charlie, J.R., Ken and Doug Roberts; sisters, Ernestine Links and Marie Wilson; sisters-in-law, Bessie and Vada Roberts and brothers-in-law, George Truitt, Op Links and Elmo Wilson.
Pauline loved her family and her great-granddaughters were the light of her life. She will be carried in our hearts and memories until we meet again.
