Gordonville – Wayne Leon Williams, 90, of Gordonville, Texas passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Homestead of Sherman. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. No services are planned at this time. He was born in Collinsville, Texas on October 2, 1927 to M.I. and Beaulah (Graham) Williams. He served in the United States Navy and after discharge went to work as a Fire Fighter. He retired at the age of 55 as the assistant Fire Chief at Fort Riley. After retiring he went to work as a fishing guide on Lake Texoma. Wayne loved to fish and hunt.

Wayne is survived by his son, Donald Williams and wife, Louise of Topeka, KS, son, Greg Williams of Gordonville, four granddaughters, sister, Dixie Edwards of Sherman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, M.I. and Beaulah Williams, brother, Wallace Williams, and brother, Charles Leo Williams.
