Wanda Merlene Stowe, 83, of Sadler, Texas was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Texoma Medical Center.
Wanda was born on July 13, 1938 in Collinsville, Texas, the youngest of the nine children born to John William and Myrtle (Harkey) Click. She married Paul Stowe in Whitesboro on April 24, 1987. She was a graduate of Collinsville High School, and in 1956 her basketball team won the state championship. Wanda was an adventurer at heart; she enjoyed camping, fishing and even hang gliding with Paul. Being the youngest child of nine siblings, she grew up with all her nieces and nephews. She loved traveling, family reunions, and camping with anyone that would join her! Wanda enjoyed playing dominoes and canasta with her friends and family, where her competitive spirit thrived. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she adored her family and cherished the time she spent with each and every one of them. She battled lung cancer for the last two years with a tenacious spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Stowe of Sadler; son, Rusty Renfroe and wife, Penny of Whitesboro; daughter, Sandy Thiems and husband, Monte of Owasso, OK.; son, Dusty Renfroe of Whitesboro; Eric Stowe and wife Wendy of DeSoto; Nancy Rhea and husband Johnny of Corinth; grandchildren, Reagan and wife, Jonnah, Jordan, Zac, Sarah, Nathan, Ryan, Chad, JP, and Jacob, two great-grandchildren, Rhett and Reese, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Click, eight siblings, and her daughter, Cindy Renfroe.
A memorial service honoring Wanda will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. At this time no formal visitation is scheduled.

Wanda and I attended twelve years of school together, starting with first grade and going all the way through graduation from high school. She was voted most beautiful girl our senior year, and I was lucky to be her escort when she was queen of the Halloween Carnival. She took great pride in being a member of the Collinsville High School girls’ basketball team that won state championship. Wanda was a nice, kind, sweet person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I like to think that you’re playing basketball with the angels now, Wanda. Rest in peace.
I have many fond memories of Wanda. She was always kind and accepting. Much love to the family.
I miss you sister in law. Wanda Brother Paul will have a lot of adjustment to do

Our deepest Sympathy, and we pray your sorrow may be eased, that God”s promise of eternal life renew your faith and hope and may His deep abiding love bring you comfort. What ever we face we”re never alone, for God takes our sorrows and makes them His own (Rev,21:4) God Himself will wipe away every tear from our eyes, There shall be no more sorrow,no crying,no more pain, all these things are gone foreever. During this difficult time may the comfort of God”s loving arms carry you through the quiet moments and bring you peace.
With deepest Sympathy
