Vonda Kay Brown, 56, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Kay was born on February 9, 1966 in Sherman, Texas to Jerry and Martha (West) Brown. She attended school at Whitesboro Independent School District. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. Kay loved animals and worked for and volunteered a lot of her time to ARF House dog rescue in Sadler. She was a hard worker and a great friend to many. She would drop everything to help a friend or stranger. Kay enjoyed fishing and camping out, she loved her family and her dogs very much.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Stanley and Martha Welch, brother, Lyn Brown and wife, Jan; brother, Jay Brown and wife, Susan; brother, Ben Brown and wife, Lisa; sister Mollie Pichon and husband, Darren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Brown, grandparents, Harold and Winnie Brown, and grandparents, Charlie and Hazel West.
A memorial service honoring Kay was held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at her mother’s home in Whitesboro.

I’m so sorry that I just found her obituary. I’ve been looking just for Kay, not Vonda, but still, somehow missed her obituary. I had every intention of being there, y’all have always been so good to me. Martha, Mollie and the rest of the family, I’m so very sorry.
Kay u were the best so caring and a heart of gold that was bigger than Texas. I always enjoyed your company weather it be work or just hanging out with u and your dog family,and u always had a dog family. You are with your dad now. Rest in peace my angel u will be missed by so many.
Kay u were a special person, co-worker and a friend. Which makes saying bye much harder. Rest in peace friend see u on the other side.

So sorry to find Kay’s obituary. We didn’t know until today.. Our memories of her are from the lake, the Deluxe Diner, and just old times with good friends.
