Veta Ann Sanders, 88, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
Veta was born on January 8, 1933 in Whitesboro, Texas to Raymond and Evie (Price) Gaskin. She married Jack Sanders in Gainesville, Texas on March 18, 1952. She worked as the S&S school district Librarian for over 42 years, she loved working with the children and was a big supporter of the S&S community. She made all the banners for the school functions. Veta loved being outside, she enjoyed working in her yard and making both it and her home a warm and inviting place for family and friends. She loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Jack Sanders of Whitesboro; son, Dennis Sanders of Whitesboro; grandson, Sam Hiser of Denison; sister, Evelyn Bomar of Whitesboro; sister, Earnestine Stofle and husband, Billy Wade of Whitesboro; sister, Joyce Boley and husband, Jack of Midland; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Veta was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Evie Gaskin, daughter, Regina Gail Hiser and brother-in-law, Clyde Bomar.
Funeral services honoring Veta will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. At this time no formal visitation is scheduled.
Mrs. Sanders was an outstanding school librarian. Enjoyd working with her at S&S. Prayers for her family and friends.

Thinking of the family .Ive heard so many good stories about Veda that I feel like I knew her.Happy she has reached her eternal home where she can remember all her loved ones and be with her daughter and parents.God bless and comfort Jack and Dennis until they meet her again .
