May 5, 1957 –  January 21, 2006  Whitesboro â?? Memorial Services for Steven Griner, 48 will be 7 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Larry Arnold officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
Steven passed away Saturday, January, 21, 2006 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

Steven was born May 5, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina to William C., Sr. and Cecilia Vera (Pritchett) Griner. He was a pattern maker for Industrial Models in Gainesville. He loved his family, fishing and motorcycles.

Survivors include his fiancée and companion, Floy Ellen Briley of Whitesboro; his father and step-mother, William C., Sr. and Sophia Maria Griner of Whitesboro; three brothers, William C. Griner, Jr. of Whitesboro, Thorpe L. Griner of Denton and Courts R. Griner of Whitesboro; and a sister, Macey K. Griner of Denton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecilia Vera Griner.
