Stella Louise Holland, 74, of Whitesboro passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at her residence with her family by her side. There will be a remembrance gathering from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.
Stella was born on January 22, 1947, to Herman and Jessie Southerland in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Stella worked at the Denton State School for 23 years as the dietary supervisor. She loved to cook and play bingo. Stella had a strong faith in the Lord.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda and husband Efrain Alejos of Whitesboro; granddaughter Rica Jo and husband Brian Armstrong; 2 brothers Jim and wife Penny Southerland of Lake Kiowa, John Henry and Glenda Southerland of Walnut Bend; two great-grandchildren Maureen Rose Armstrong and Brody Dunn.
Stella is preceded in death by her parents, sister Cora Mayes and brother Doug Southerland.
