Love you, my special cousin
Rest in peace. Your memory will be a blessing until we meet again.
Dorian, I’m so sorry for your loss of dear Smoot. He was one in a million. I know he will be missed but his body and soul are at rest now. I love you my dear friend.
Smoot was a special second cousin to me. Growing up and being entertained by him in his home at the age of 5, He educated me about fireflies and ticks, he teased us kids in love. I remember when he cranked up the music to “Ain’t nothing but a hound dog” and we danced around his living room and sang. He was so witty and thoughtful, so funny, I’ve had the greatest respect for him and wish we could have spent more time with him and love him immensely. I hold him deeply in my heart. I can still see him playing cards with Mom and Dad. May he soar with the angels.
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Mark
