Shirley June Reasor Wilson Sturm, 86, passed Sunday, August 18, 2024, at home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia and son-in-law David Brantley, daughter, Patty Hill, daughter, Connie Galubenski, son, Mike and daughter-in-law Carrie Wilson, as well as 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Shirley was born and raised in Tioga, Texas, and attended Burton School, which was a one-room schoolhouse.  She was related to every student in the school, except for one family!  She lived In Texas, Tennessee, California, and most recently in Oklahoma. She was a full-time homemaker while her children were young, and then worked alongside her husband at their pattern shop and later at their church furniture manufacturing plant.

Shirley and her husband, Steve Wilson, were married in 1956, and were married for 33 years until his death in 1989.  She met John Sturm in a grief seminar following Steve’s passing, and the two were married in 1991.  They enjoyed married life until his passing in 2006.

Shirley is survived by sisters Linda Jones and Kathy Reichert. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jesse May Reasor, brothers Dennis Reasor, Duane Reasor, Stanley Reasor, sister Peggy Moore, and daughter, Tammy Wilson.

Earlier in life, Shirley was an avid bowler, playing in several leagues, and managed to play a perfect 300 game more than once. She was a voracious reader, and always had a book in her hand or her purse.  She enjoyed going to antique stores and flea markets, searching for treasures, and loved listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Rod Stewart at a very high volume.

Visiting hours are 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, August 21, at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 on Thursday, August 22, at Meador Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas.
