Ronnie was a country boy through and through and was gifted by his Creator with brains and brawn. Ronnie always gave glory to God for his many creative ideas and for the abilities to see his visions to fruition. Ronnie loved life and looked forward to eternity in Heaven with Jesus his Savior. He enjoyed listening to Gospel, Bluegrass, and Country music. Ronnie and Yvonne attended Southmayd Baptist Church together. He was a devoted Christian man, who was very strong in his faith, and lived it for others to see.
Ronnie was loving, kind, funny and never met a stranger. He was a tender and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a cherished son, brother, and friend.
Ronnie’s love of gardening began in childhood and continued to be nurtured by Frances, his mom, throughout his life. Victor, his dad and friend, taught Ronnie how to work in the oilfield as a teenager, it was a career that Ronnie continued as an adult.
Ronnie especially enjoyed traveling with his wife, Yvonne, gathering with his large family, cooking, farming, and fishing with his grandchildren. He loved spending time on rivers, whether they were in Texas or Alaska. Ronnie looked forward to his frequent lunch meetings with his close friends, discussing work projects and solving problems. He wife affectionately called them the “Commonsense Club.”
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Yvonne; parents, Victor and Frances Sicking; siblings, Cathy (James) Danglemayr, Darrell Sicking, Glenda Sicking, Carl (Diane) Sicking, Carmen Malo, Le Ann (Boyd) Wilson, and LaNell (Kenny) Noggler; his children, Matt Sicking, Lynzee Sicking – Simpson, Blake (Jessica) Sicking, Amber Sichler, Ashley Sichler, Allyson (Kodi) Kiefer, Ann McElyea, and Kaylee Sicking. Ronnie was such a nice man. My family really enjoyed his yearly visit to New Mexico with his lovely wife, Yvonne. Ronnie was just so easy to talk to and was really a friendly, smart person. He will be missed!
So very sorry for your loss. Prayers for peace and comfort. May he rest in peace.
My dear friend Ronnie….. You were always my voice of reason and helped carry me through good times and bad, I don’t know where I would be today if it wasn’t for you. Whether we were chasing hogs through a field at night with the shotguns, fishing Texoma from your boat, going to Ranger’s bball games or eating at LaHa, we always laughed our heads off and tried to figure out how we could escape this crazy world by just living in the woods with nothing more than a thermos of coffee & sitting by the campfire. You were certainly a man we all admired and looked up to always! We will be missing you terribly, but looking forward to spending eternity in Heaven with you and our Savior! RIP MY DEAR FRIEND (Rich Ackley)

Ronnie, you were the best of men. Funny, wise, loyal, compassionate, most of all, godly. What an amazing role model you’ve been for all the world to see, a loving, caring husband whom Yvonne cherished, and I’m so honored I had the opportunity to know you and your precious family. You are dearly missed.

I am very sorry for your families loss of such an incredible, kind, wise, and loving man. I met Ronnie quite some time ago in Alaska. I have spent some wonderful times with him that I will always remember and cherish. He sent my family the best beef jerky in the world every year and always reached out to say hi and check on us up here. We always looked forward to you guys coming up. My heart is broken for all of you but know for certain that Ronnie is in heaven waiting for the rest of us. Let his amazing example and life on Earth always remind the rest of us what is truly important; our family, love, kindness, helping others, being honest and fair to others, laughing, dreaming, patriotism, but most important of all, a strong love and faith in Jesus. Ronnie touched so many I am sure of, just like he impacted and touched us Alaskans that will always love and remember him.
I’ll always cherish our wonderful conversations. Thank you for all the love you gave to the family. You were truly a man after God’s own heart and left a lasting impact on the life’s you’ve touched. You will be truly missed!
