February 8, 1940 –  October 1, 2016  Funeral services for Roger Leon Otwell, 76, of Sanger are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 4th at Christian Temple Church with Rev. Darlene Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 3rd at Meador Funeral Home. Christian Bonner, Shannon Otwell, Ricky Gregory, Jimmy Gregory, Todd Otwell and Matt Otwell will serve as pall bearers.

Mr. Otwell died Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Sanger. He was born on February 8, 1940 in Teague, Texas to Marvin & Edna (Prince) Otwell. He was proud to be called a Christian. Roger was a building contractor.

Survivors include his two children, Melinda Otwell of Grapevine and La Tonne Leftwich and husband, Spencer of El Paso; sister, Darlene Conner and husband, James of Gainesville; grandchildren, Mack Hayes, Cutter and Gage; niece, Paula Jones and husband, Pryce of Sanger; nephews, Todd Douglas, James Shannon and Matthew Cain and great nieces & nephews, Auna Victoria, Trinity Faith, Christian Joseph, Jaden Jacob, and Samuel James.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Edna Otwell, brother, James Douglas Otwell and nephew, Jonathan David Conner.
