Richard Wayne Sharber, 77, of Whitesboro, Texas was called home to heaven on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
Ricky was born on September 25, 1945 in Quanah, Texas to Richard and Marie (Whitmire) Sharber. He married Ms. Betty Coats in Sadler, Texas on August 25, 1962. He attended Bones Chapel Baptist Church. Ricky was a welder by trade, but there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He loved tinkering around on the computer, making CD’s and photography and working in the dark room to process his own photos. Ricky enjoyed dancing, playing the guitar, listening to outlaw music and country blues. He loved his church and his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Sharber; son, Terry Sharber and wife, Lisa; son, David Sharber; grandchildren, Melissa Brookshire, Stacy Sharber, Cody Wayne Sharber, and Nickie Sharber; great-grandchildren, Lila, Nate, Emery, Hunter, Samuel and Stevie; sister, Martha Renfro, sister, Rosie O’Toole, brother, Calvin Sharber, and sister, Teresa Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services honoring Ricky will be held at 2:00 Pm on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, officiated by Rev. Derrick Roberts. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held 30 minutes prior to the service time at Mt. Tabor cemetery.

Betty, we love you and are praying for you to have peace and comfort! I was so blessed to have grown up around y’all. One of my favorite uncles even if he did love to aggravate! Now having a family of my own, my kids loved to visit uncle Ricky and aunt Betty! A precious memory will always be y’all teaching the girls how to two-step in your garage! We love you!
