Peggy Louise Gray, 82, of Gordonville, Texas was called home to Jesus on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Peggy was born on April 4, 1940 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Eldon Eugene and Alice (Kelley) Claytor.  She married Billy Joe Gray on July 13, 1957 in Denton, Texas.  She worked for and retired from Victor’s Equipment in Denton, Texas.  Peggy enjoyed looking through family photos, quilting, making wedding cakes and planning family reunions.  She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with each one of them.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Gray; daughter, Karen Hobbs; son, Billy Don Gray and wife, Amy; son, Tommy Wayne Gray and wife, Bobbie; eight grandchildren, Nick and Scotty Hobbs, Gregg, Matt, Jacob and Ben Gray, Jenna Clark, Duane Sawers, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon Eugene and Alice Irene Claytor, four sisters, Evelyn Freeman, Mona Massengale, Carolyn Burks, Nancy Claytor, and two brothers, Wallace Claytor, and Bobby Claytor.

Funeral services honoring Peggy will be held at 2:00 Pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home on Wednesday from Noon until 2:00 PM.
