Patricia “Pat” Janet Strickland, 72, of Southmayd, Texas was called home to Heaven on August 10, 2021.
Pat was born on February 21, 1949 in Lamesa, Texas to Roy and Gwen (Grundon) Coleman. She married Glenn Strickland on December 30, 1994 and they were married for 18 years prior to his passing in 2013. Pat was a devoted member of the Western High Church of Christ. She also enjoyed working in her yard and going to the casino with her friends. She worked for many years at Dillard and Gann Insurance in Whitesboro.
A cherished friend to many, Pat was always willing to help anyone in need. Her friends and family will remember her contagious laugh and great sense of humor. Pat loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Pat is survived by son, James R. Ragsdale, and wife, Kris of Collinsville; daughter, Lori Gann, and life partner, Spencer Mullens of Denison; mother, Gwen Coleman of Sherman; grandchildren, Kimberli, Coby, Cory, Eric, and Lorin; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Coleman James, Debbie Coleman, and Carla Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Strickland, and her father, Roy Coleman.
Funeral services honoring Pat will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. Internment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Meemaw loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. I’m so honored to have met her almost 7 years ago because of her grandson Eric Gann, marrying my daughter Madison.

I am so saddened by Patricia’s passing. She was a sweetheart for sure. I especially cherish memories of our junior high school days and a special overnight stay at our house. She made hide and seek so much fun.
