Mary Ruth Burgess, 78 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on August 10, 2022. She was born on January 24, 1944, in Muenster, Texas to Servia Matthew Muller and Loyce (Lyons) Muller and was raised on the Pulte Far west of Gainesville. Mary had 3 sisters and 4 brothers coming from a family of 10. She married Carroll Burgess on August 2, 1968, in Gainesville, Texas. Mary accepted Christ as Savior as a little girl and was a member of the Central Baptist Church, Gainesville, Texas for over 40 years and was a faithful Christian, wife and mother. Mary worked at the Linda Jo Shoe factory and for Freewood Products for over 20 years. She also worked for Zodiac Aerospace for over 15 years before retiring.
Mary is survived by son, Carroll Burgess, Jr. and Ann McCord; granddaughters, Kenzee Nickerson & Bobby Pratt, Mia Paul; brothers, Larry Muller and wife, Judy, Steve Muller and wife, Sharon; sister, Joyce Parsons.
Preceded in death, husband, Carroll, parents; brother, Robert Muller; sisters, Sandra Voyles & Barbara McGilbery; brother, Jimmie Muller.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on August 16, 2022, at the Central Baptist Church, Gainesville, Texas with the service beginning at 11:00 am, Interment will be following the service at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas. Service will be presided by Bro. Tyler Bitner.

Mary always had a smile and something funny to say. As a young gorl she had jingle bells in the hems of her skirts and made everyone’s life happy. She was a great cousin!
