He passed away in Sherman, Texas on February 3, 2014. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.
LeRoy was born on December 11, 1926 in Dallas, Texas to Lee Roy and Henrietta (Vesperman) Davis. He married Bobbye Yates on June 9, 1946 in Mesquite, Texas. He was a hard working man. After he retired from his self-employment as a welder, he became a farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed traveling to Bossier City to gamble. He liked to sit outside and watch over the ponds at his home, looking for deer, turkey, or geese.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawana Davis, of Gordonville; grandson, Richard Leslie, of Cheyenne, WY; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbye Davis; a daughter, Lee Davis Moore; and a son, Jimmy Lee Davis.
