Larry Wayne Wood, 59, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to his eternal home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Larry was born on April 18, 1965 in Levelland, Texas to Richard Wood and Shirley Osborn. He attended school in Whitesboro and was of the Baptist faith. Larry worked in construction, following in the footsteps of his father Richard. He enjoyed scrapping and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football. Larry loved the outdoors and helping his friends and neighbors, he was always willing to drop whatever he was doing and go help others. He enjoyed being with good friends, making people laugh and having a good time. He lived every moment of his life to the fullest. Larry loved his family tremendously and was proud of each one of them.
He is survived by his mom, Shirley Blevins of Whitesboro; Life Partner, Jennifer Colvin of Whitesboro; daughter, Rachel Wood of Oklahoma City; step sons, Blake, Brenden, and Ben; sister, Michele Scott and husband, Dale of Edmond; sister, Rhonda Freeman and husband, Kenneth of Whitesboro; sister, Ladina Wood of Whitesboro; grandsons, Kason and Karter; niece, Danielle Marable and husband Clay; niece Chelsea Dilling and husband, Andrew, and nephew, Matthew Scott as well as many lifelong friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wood.
A memorial visitation honoring Larry will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
Larry u will b missed by everyone your such a sweet man always had a smile. I had so much fun with you in high school you was a great football player. I have so many memories I get to keep thank you for who you was and that is you where the sweetest man ever RIP love you always. Tell everyone in heaven I said hi . I bet Kay brown will b surprised to see you.

For many, many years Larry and I ran together. He was always there when I needed him. We had so many laughs and goodtimes. He will forever and always be one of my greatest friends. He will definitely be missed by so many. A piece of myself has gone with him! Loved this man so very much!!!
