Kenneth Earl Landtroop, 86, of Whitesboro, TX was called to his eternal home on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Kenneth was born on September 9, 1936 in Peoria, Texas to Lawrence Cecil and Josie (Kissinger) Landtroop.  He married La Fern Cunningham in June 1989 in Woodbine.  Kenneth served proudly in the United States Marine Corp.  He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, and tearing things up.

He is survived by his wife, La Fern Landtroop of Whitesboro; son, Larry Landtroop and wife, Windy; daughter, Sherry Weaver and husband, John; son, Ben Landtroop; daughter, Shanna Baldwin and husband, Kenneth; son, Kenneth Landtroop Jr. and wife, Angelea; and daughter, Lori and Rusty Jones; several  grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, sister, Patsy Huntley and husband, Wayne; and sister Lenda Davidson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Josie Landtroop, brothers, Malcolm Landtroop and Garth Landtroop and sister-in-law, Dorothy Landtroop.

Pallbearers will be Thomas “Rusty” Jones, Kenneth Baldwin, John Weaver, Albert O’Neal, John Hall, Brian Southerland, and David Hines, honorary pallbearers will be Mike and Kevin Landtroop.

Funeral services honoring Kenneth will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Wayne Huntley.  Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Gordonville.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
