Joe N. Almand, 78, of Collinsville, Texas, was called to his eternal home on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Joe was born on September 30, 1946 in Waxahachie, Texas to Elmer and Ruth (Reed) Almand.  He loved being outdoors and working with his hands, he was able to use that passion for the outdoors by working as a cowboy, tending his horses and being a master craftsman in leather work.

He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Morgan of Collinsville; stepdaughter, Amy Black of Calera, OK.; grandson, Rhett Morgan of Collinsville; grandson, Ketch Whatley of New Castle, OK.; and sister-in-law, Betty Sue Almand of Palmer, TX.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Almand, parents, Elmer and Ruth Almand, and brother, Gerald Almand.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
