Jerry Don Warren, 79, of Whitesboro, Texas was called from his earthly home to his eternal home in heaven on Wednesday, March 12. 2025.
Jerry was born on November 8, 1945 in Hoyt, Oklahoma to Fred and Evone (Bryce) Warren. He was a 1963 graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and a 1968 graduate of the University of Tulsa, majoring in finance. On July 7, 1972 Jerry married Brenda Gwartney in Pryor, Oklahoma and together they began building a life with their two daughters. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, serving as a Deacon for many years. He was a retired banker and enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching sports. Jerry was a member of Kiwanis and the Rotary Club in Whitesboro. He loved serving the Lord and spending time with his precious family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Warren of Whitesboro; daughter, Kara Wright and husband, Brandon of Pottsboro; daughter, Krista Lyon and husband, David of Prosper; grandchildren, Jayden, Westen, Carter, Elise, and Rayleigh, sisters, Ruth Guess and Glenda Hoover, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evone Warren, sister, Freda Hamlin, and nephew, Chad Hamlin.
A memorial service honoring Jerry will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Mike Flanagan. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
