Jean McCrory, age 87 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on March 5, 2020.

She was born October 5, 1932 to William and Nellie Tune in Sivells Bend, Texas. Jean married Daniel McCrory on October 9, 1948 in Gainesville, Texas.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E California St., Gainesville, Texas. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Temple Baptist Church, 1811 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas at 2:00 pm, final disposition following the service at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.

Jean leaves behind 4 daughters; Gloria and husband, Jimmy Smith of North Richland Hills, Texas; Dianna Thurman of Ft. Worth, Texas; Pamila & husband, Paul Thurman of Sherman, Texas and Belita and husband Jeff Morris of Valley View, Texas.  17 Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

A host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

She loved going on road trips with her family as long as Randy Travis was on the radio. She loved to go camping and fishing, and her favorite bird was the Red Bird. Being a seamstress was one of her favorite pastimes.  She was the Rock of her family.
