James Leslie “Jim” Davison, 72, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to his eternal home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Jim was born on April 8. 1951 to James Kenneth and Faye (Varley) Davison. He married Xina Landers on June 25, 1971 in Collinsville and they were married 45 years prior to her passing. Jim retired from the Whitesboro Post Office, having worked there for 29 years. He and Xina owned and operated the Whitesboro News Record for 35 years. Jim enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Xina Davison and his parents, James and Faye Davison.
Jim is survived by his son, Clint Davison of Collinsville; son, Rhett Davison of Whitesboro; grandson, Walker Davison of Gainesville; sister, Patti Eversole of Sherman, and niece, Michelle Blackmon.
Funeral services honoring Jim will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Ricky Patterson. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
