Glenn David Ulmer, 85, of Sherman, Texas was called to his eternal home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
Glenn was born on April 4, 1936 in Hunt County, Texas to David and Nona (Cravens) Ulmer. He was a hardworking man and worked at a flour mill for 35 years and hauled hay for people on the side. He enjoyed fishing and antique shopping as well as cars and trucks. He loved his family and loved spending time with them, especially the time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Larry Ulmer and wife, Reba of Whitewright; daughter, Mary Hohenberger and husband, Ricky of Ector; daughter-in-law, Joyce Ulmer of Sherwood Shores; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Don Ulmer and wife, Nelda, brother, Jerry Ulmer and wife, Carolyn; brother-in-law, Thomas Jones and brother-in-law, Mike Morgan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Marie Ulmer, son, Rick Ulmer, parents, David and Nona Ulmer, brother, Sonny Ulmer, sisters, Wanda Wilkerson, Linda Morgan, Norma Jean Hazelwood and Rachel Jones, daughter-in-law, Pam Ulmer and brother-in-law, Bobby Hazelwood.
The family would like to thank Guardian Hospice for their compassion, love, and care of Glenn during his illness.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Glenn at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney.
