Thoughts and prayers for the family at this time. He will be missed by many.
I remember cousin Jerry as one of the most delightful people you could ever meet. I always looked for him at family gatherings to enjoy conversations and share laughs. There were many times as kids when I would ride my bike down Richmond avenue and turn left on Auburn to visit my cousin and his beautiful family. I was always glad to accept dinner invitations because Uncle Sam, Jerry’s father was an amazing cook. There was never a dull moment at the dinner table with my cousins and these memories lasted through the years. Jerry was my brother cousin as we shared aunts and uncles, and grandparents on both sides of the family as our fathers were brothers and mothers were sisters. Jerry and I also shared our Godmother, our mother’s sister, aunt Lena. Jerry and I were born a week apart and for our birthday present aunt Lena would always take us together for a day of fine dining at one of Buffalo’s finest restaurants and the most popular movie in the theater. I could go on and on as Jerry and I had so many amazing times together. As we got older, we didn’t see so much of each other, but Jerry proved to be a model husband, father, and grandfather to his family. Jerry will be sorely missed and I will miss that warm and sincere smile he always had for all his relatives and friends. RIP my cousin, until we meet again.
Having to write about all the many special things our wonderful cousin has brought to so many of us, would be a massive assignment. So I will keep this brief. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and cousin to all of us. We were blessed to know him and be in his life. Many good times throughout our lives at the cottage and at hour homes will never be forgotten as well as will never forget the man. Jerry, I know where your spirit now lives. We will always miss the person who will live on in our hearts and minds forever. God Bless the entire family.
