September 27, 1941 –  October 22, 2015  Funeral Services for George Edward Moore, Jr., 74, will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, Texas with Rev. Melvin Bowens, Elder Clyde Chappele, Rev. Frank Lorne and Rev. David Cross officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 30th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home. Mr. Moore passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Brentwood Place Nursing Home in Dallas, Texas.
George was born September 27, 1941 in Honey Grove, Texas to George Moore, Sr. and Jessie Mae (Bossick) Moore. He married Donna Richey. He worked in construction and served in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Richey Moore of Dallas, Texas; five sons, Neil Bridges, L.. C. Lewis, David Braddy, Marlon Braddy and Edward Braddy all of Dallas,Texas; one daughter, Pamela Johnson of Dallas, Texas; Special Niece, Chamekia Favors of Gainesville, Texas; one brother, Gene Moore of Gainesville, Texas; ten sisters; Carlene Moore of Dallas, Texas, Sherby Ann Johnson of Gainesville, Texas, Mary Boykins of Dallas, Texas, Carol Sue Chaffins of Gainesville, Texas, Hannah Williams of Gainesville, Texas, Gerry Moore of Gainesville, Texas, Dorothy Bowens of Sherman, Texas, Catherine Moore of Gainesville, Texas, Alpha Moore of Gainesville, Texas and Omega Perry of Gainesville, Texas; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lewis Newton and a sister, Sara Elizabeth Moore.
