Pike, 66, will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro with Rev. Clay Brantley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dixie Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Family visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.He passed away on November 15, 2011 in Whitesboro, Texas.
Robert Don Pike was born on March 1, 1945 to Joe and Jeanette (Fields) Pike in Vancouver, Washington. He married Terry Biggs on June 4, 1993 in Whitesboro, Texas. He grew up in El Dorado, Texas. He was a Purple Heart recipient for his U. S. Army service in Vietnam. He spent a year in the hospital recovering. He was a salesman for Reed Drill in Sherman, Texas. His sales territory covered the Northwest portion of the United States. He also worked as a car salesman for several car dealers. He loved cars.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Pike, of Whitesboro, TX; sons, Tim Pike of Sherman, TX; Mike Pike and wife, Dessa of Vega, TX; step-son, Clayton Caperton and wife, Kim of Aurora, CO; step-daughter, Sarah Emmert, of Whitesboro, TX; 10 grandchildren; brother, Dwayne Pike and wife, Janie of Leona, TX; sister, Jonet Powell and husband, Walter of El Dorado, TX; and his mother, Jeanette Pike of Whitesboro, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Pike; a sister, Debra Ann Pike, who passed away on December 22, 1955.
Pallbearers will be; Jim Fields, Kenneth Fields, Joe Fields, Mark Pike, Matthew Pike and Jeff Bice.
