December 5, 1944 – December 14, 2010 GORDONVILLE – Funeral Services for Darlene Jeter, 66, will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sherwood Shores First Baptist Church with Rev. Wendyl Glenn officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Oklahoma. Family visitation will be Thursday, December 16, from 6 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.Syble Darlene Jeter passed away on December 14, 2010 in Sherman, Texas.
She was born on December 5, 1944 to James D. and Bobbie Lee (Ward) Cobb in Allen, Oklahoma. She married William “Wig” Jeter on June 19, 1961 in Davis, Oklahoma. Darlene was a member of the Sherwood Shores First Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and playing guitar, quilting, fishing, and camping. She also loved working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed her family and spending time together with them.
She is survived by her husband, Wig Jeter of Gordonville, TX; a son, Billy Wayne Jeter and wife, Rena, of Durant, OK; two daughters, Deborah Smith and husband, David of Sherwood Shores, TX; Darla Bolles and husband, Greg, of Gentry, AK; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, sisters, Bobbie Ruth Roach, Diane Jacobs, Karen Freemen, and Denise Freeman; brothers, Jimmy Cobb and Henry Cobb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bobbie Cobb.
Pallbearer will be Micheal Smith, David Howard, David Smith, Joshua Howard, Christian Jeter, and Robert Pierce.
