Dakota Joe Blythe, 34 of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on June 17, 2023. He was born on September 27, 1988, in Seminole, Texas to Mark Blythe and Tina Morton. Dakota worked hard for his family every day the Lord gave him. Dakota met Jennifer Pope in 2015 while in recovery and they were married October 7, 2018, in Valley View, Texas. He began work at IFS Powder Coating in 2018. Dakota was a member of The Anchor Group. He and Jennifer were youth leaders of CBC. They became members of The Fold in June of this year. He loved his family and kept the Lord 1st in his life. Dakota’s love for the Lord lit up the room when he entered.
Survivors are his wife, Jennifer Blythe of Whitesboro, Texas; daughters, Olivia and Amelia Blythe. Melody of Iowa; mom, Tina Morton and Willie Leonard of Whitesboro, Texas; father, Mark Blythe; brothers, Coty McDonnell of Burnett, Texas, Shawn & wife, Cindy Blythe of Lovington, NM, Mikey Blythe & wife, Airam of Hobbs, NM; sister, Christi & husband, Duke Norrell of Lovington, NM; aunt, Veda Reed of Whitesboro, Texas; cousin, Scotty and family; uncle, Dale & wife, Jena Blythe of Abilene, Texas; lots of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; more aunts and uncles that range from Houston to Colorado Springs.
Preceded in death, son, Caleb; grandparents, Tommie & Leroy Blythe; grandparents, Billie & Digger Morton; uncle, Cecil Reed; aunt, Berta Taylor; sister, Trina McDonnell; mother-in-law, Sharon Browning; grandmother, Pearl Shwadlenak.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on July 1, 2023, at The Fold, 630 N. Grand Avenue, Gainesville, Texas with Fellowship to follow after the service.
