October 30, 1922 – February 2, 2017 Graveside Services for Cora Lee Miller, 94 of Frisco, Texas formerly of Whitesboro, Texas will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Kendall Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Cole Phillips officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas. She passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Prairie Estates Nursing Home, Frisco, Texas. She was born to John and Hazel (Orr) Rose on October 30, 1922 in Sherman, Texas. She married William Leon Miller on October 5, 1940 in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death January 25, 2009. Cora was of the Church of Christ faith. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling. She worked for 35 years at Sears, Roebuck & Company at the Lamar Street location in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Shafer and husband, Charles of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Kevin Shafer and wife, Trish and two granddaughters, Donna Thomas and husband, Tim and Tammy Miller and grandson, Shane Miller, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Kevin Shafer, Charles Shafer, Shane Miller, Tim Thomas, Cole Phillips, David Thomas and Mike Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Hazel Rose; husband, W. L. “Tick” Miller and son, William Clifton Miller and a grandson, Lance Miller.

My heart aches in finding this out. I didn’t know Cora Lee had passed away. I’m sure my Mom (Jeanette) didn’t know.
