Cody Franklin Mullennix, 47, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to his eternal home on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
Cody was born on July 26, 1976 in Denison, Texas to Billy Don Mullennix and Kathy (Scribner) Self. He graduated from S&S High School in Sadler. On September 17, 2017 he married his soul partner in life, Kelli Kennemer at Lake Texoma. Cody owned and operated Cody’s Guide Service on Lake Texoma. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, darts and corn hole and watching sports. He loved spending time on the water and being around a campfire with friends. His greatest joy was watching his boys play sports and being Paw Paw to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Mullennix of Whitesboro; son, Hunter Mullennix and wife, Hannah of Houston; son, Austin Mullennix of Whitesboro; bonus son, Derek Kennemer, bonus daughter, Kayla Newman, sister, Christy Jaresh; mother, Kathy Self, grandchildren, Kallie, Jaxson, Harper, Kurren, Boone and Karoline, as well as other loving family and friends.
Cody was preceded in death by his father, Billy Don Mullennix and brother, Shawn Mullennix.
Pallbearers will be Jason Holbrook, Mike McMillan, Steve Nelson, Ty Nall, Will Carter, Sparky Henry, Jeff Willams, Jimmy Nicholson, and Terry Thurman.
Funeral services honoring Cody will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro, officiated by Bro. Terry Terry. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Georgetown Baptist.

Cody was a very sweet friend to me in middle and high school. I still remember his sometimes squeaky voice and laugh from back in the day. He was kind and had a great smile. I am so very sorry for your loss.
