July 5, 1936 – August 12, 2012 A memorial service for Gainesville resident, Cirila De Guzman, 76, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 16th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Raymond McDaniel officiating. Mrs. De Guzman passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Renaissance Care Center.
Cirila was born July 5, 1936, in San Jose City NE, Philippines, the daughter of Benito and Christina Tallano. She was a school teacher and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors of Cirila De Guzman include her daughter and son-in-law, Amparo and Jeff Koval of Gainesville; grandchildren, Joanne De Guzman of Gainesville, Joney De Guzman of the Philippines and Jomaica Hernandez of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Marjorie Koval of Gainesville, Marydell Koval of Gainesville, Angeline De Guzman of the Philippines, Lorraine De Guzman of the Philippines and Jasper Hernandez of Gainesville; sisters, Beverly Bautista of the Philippines , Flora Edwards of England and Aida Nuno of South Dakota and a brother, Julian Tallano of the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maximo De Guzman; daughter, Teresita Morden; two brothers and two sisters.
