Christalene Phelps, 95, of Whitesboro, Texas was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Christalene was born on May 1, 1929 in Dexter, Texas to Herman and Helen Riddle. She married Delton M. Phelps in Whitesboro on December 1, 1945, together they raised four sons, Larry Delton, Troy Lee, Michael Wayne, and Daniel Ray. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gainesville, Texas, she enjoyed attendance and activities within the church. Christalene was always busy with her vegetable and flower gardens, crocheting, arts and crafts for the home and her Bible study. As well as providing a loving home for her family.
She is survived by her son, Troy Lee Phelps, son, Daniel Ray Phelps, grandchildren, Larry David Clendenen, Jennifer Espenscheid, Arlen Troy Phelps, and Christopher Delton Phelps, nine great-grandchildren, Heather, Lindsey, Cody, Kyle, Delton, Jenna, Jolie, Juliana and Jacinta, and two great-great-grandchildren, Catie and Bowen.
Christalene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, Delton Phelps, parents, Herman and Helen Riddle, son, Larry Delton Phelps, and son, Michael Wayne Phelps.
Funeral services honoring Christalene will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery in Whitesboro. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the funeral home.

Christalene was my first cousin, her dad and my dad were brothers, she was 3 years older than me. So sorry to see that she has passed away.

Oh how sorry I am to hear this. I thought the world of Aunt E. She was one of the best women I have ever known and she will definitely be missed! I’m sure there is a huge celebration in heaven!
