May 25, 1933 – September 8, 2012 WHITESBORO – Funeral Services for Carolyn C. Dildine, 79, will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Gainesville, Texas, with Father Jeffrey Stubbs officiating. Cremation will follow with arrangements under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Family visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.Carolyn passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at her residence.
She was born on May 25, 1933 in Independence, Kansas to Marion A. Custer, Sr. and Alma R. (Leppelman) Custer. She had worked as a repair clerk in telecommunications. She enjoyed shopping, decorating (especially for the holidays), and most of all, spending time with her family at every opportunity. She was of the Episcopalian faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim Whitt and husband, Cliff of Whitesboro; a son, Larry Dildine and wife, Cindy of Whitesboro; a brother, Marion A. Custer, Jr. and wife, Carol of Midland; a sister, Martha Custer of Oklahoma City, OK; 5 grandchildren, Richard Whitt and wife, Rachel, Julian Whitt, Heidi Paul, Tyrel J. Paul and Christopher R. Richardson; 2 great-grandchildren, Xavier Whitt and Halie Hargrove.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Alma Custer; and 2 brothers, John and David Custer.
Pallbearers will be Richard Whitt, Julian Whitt, Cliff Whitt and Larry Dildine.
