So sorry to hear of Bobby’s passing. Loved working with Bobby in the ORC days. My favorite recollection of Bobby is when he took me to tear up the Sunnyvale roads in the Vette with both front seats gone (putting in new carpet). I white knuckled it while he grinned from ear to ear. One of the finest men I’ve had the pleasure of knowing!
My deepest condolences, I have many fond memories traveling the country with Bobby in our ORC days. He had an amazing ability to find the best restaurant in a town before the internet. Happy trails my friend.
Bobby was a friend and will be missed in the theatre industry. It was a great privilege to have known him and worked with him.
We will miss you, Bobby.
I also worked with Bobby in the theatre industry. He always treated those with whom he worked with the highest respect and kindness. Deepest sympathy to his family.
So sorry for your loss. Bobby was a classmate and one of the sweetest boys in school.
I’m so sorry to learn of Bobby’s passing. I had the great good fortune to work with him in the motion picture industry. Always in good spirits, he treated everyone with respect and loved to share his knowledge.
Besides being the commensurate professional, he was a wonderful friend.
Deepest sympathy to the family.
Bobby and I worked together for many years with the Rowley United Division of United Artists Theatres in the projection and sound department. We have remained friends all these years with rarely a week going by without talking on the phone. One of my fondest memories with Bobby was working together on a special project at Todd-AO Studios in Hollywood. Too many great memories with Bobby to list here. Easily my best friend ever.
Rest in peace my dear friend. Catherine and I send our most sincere sympathy to Jenny, Adam, Jimmy and all of Bobby’s family.
Sincerely,
Ben Kehe
I worked with Bobby at the Colorado Springs Lowe’s in the electrical department. We had many of the same interest in amateur radio, cars, and engineering. I also grew up around the Dallas area and it was a real treat to listen to his stories about all the familiar locations and memories. I felt that I had known Bobby my whole life even though I had only known him a short time. I will miss him and cherish the conversations we had. My sincerest condolences to his family.
So sad to hear about Bobby. He was always so full of life. I have fond memories of him and his stories about fast cars and movie industry stuff. I’m sure he had several before, but the first fast car I can remember him running was a Plymouth (1969? bought new?), believe it was a Roadrunner or a Satellite. He loved to show its power. The Pinkston family has been through some rough years!
Bobby was both a work colleague and a dear friend. We enjoyed many good times together. He will be deeply missed. Our hearts go out to Jenny and Adam. We have lost a good one.
Bobby was a great person. I will always remember his smile and his laugh. He was always in good spirits and had the unique ability to make people around him laugh and smile. We had some great conversations. You will always be in my heart!! Godspeed Bobby!!
Sorry to read about Bobby’s passing he was a good friend. He came to several of the theatres I worked at when he was with ORC and then with Dolby. He was a joy to be around and has love for cars was amazing. He will be missed by many, rest in peace my friend!
I’ve worked with Bobby off and on since the mid 2000’s teens . Bobby was full of laughter and warmth. I miss swapping Texas stories ,Dad jokes ,and hearing about Toast . Bobby is truly loved ,and has touched everyone . He will be missed for sure .
I met Bobby when he was with ORC, then ran into him again when we both worked of UA. Then again we he was our Dolby Sales representative. I always enjoyed my time to Bobby. Thanks Bobby for the Memories.
I was proud to be a friend and collaborator with Bobby on the Cinema Digital Sound project. I learned much from him and will always have fond memories of working with him.
Whenever I knew of a project where I’d be working with Bobby my “gee I wish I didn’t have to go” feelings disappeared as I knew he would make our time together fun and productive with lots of storytelling and reminiscing. He was always one of the good guys and got along with everyone from cleaner to top executives. I’ll always miss Bobby, the world’s diminished with his departure.
