Austin Young Gann, 30, of Whitesboro, Texas was called home to Heaven on Monday, April 12, 2021.
Austin was born on July 16, 1990 in Sherman, Texas to Raymond and Michele (Caviness) Gann. Austin was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. He was a Christian. Austin enjoyed collecting and customizing high end knives and posting on Instagram, where he had quite the following. He worked for Jetta Oil as an oil field pumper. Austin loved his daughter and was devoted to her, as well as to his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his daughter, Tinsley Gann of Pottsboro; parents, Ray and Michele Gann of Gainesville; sister, Nicki Baum and husband, Jarrod of Dodd City; brother Daniel Gann and wife, Jami of Atlanta, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Austin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Grady Caviness and grandmother, Margaret Edington.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Vannoy, Matt Pike, Andrew Sidlauskas, Russell Fomby, Luis Guerrero and JP Bratcher.
Funeral services honoring Austin will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. There will be a time of visitation for friends and family on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Our hearts ache, and Jetta is filled with sorrow and and a strange emptiness. Austin will truly be missed by everyone he touched. Our prayers will continue to go out to Austin’s family as they grieve and make sense of his being taken so very young!!!!
