Anna Cook Mills Prewitt, 76, passed away on September 20, 2018, at her home in Gainesville, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, Texas. Interment will follow the services at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation services will be held Monday, September 24, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas.

Anna was born on April 1, 1942, in Shirley, Arkansas to Thomas Jefferson Cook and Kathryn Coley Cook. She married James Lloyd Mills on July 16, 1960, in Denton, Texas. She was also married to Douglas Prewitt until his death.

Anna will be remembered by her children as their rock. She was selfless and loving. A great friend to so many. She was a devout Christian and served the Lord daily. She was a phenomenal mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Meyer and husband Michael Doughty; sons, Tom and wife Deeann Mills of Cool, Texas; Derek and wife Melissa Mills of Ft. Worth, Texas; Kirk and wife Breigh Mills of Lindsay, Texas; one brother Seth Cook and wife Millie of Atwater, California; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Amy Cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands James Lloyd Mills and Douglas Prewitt.
