Nancy Rae Stevens, 85 of Valley View, Texas passed away on February 5, 2023. She was born on May 21, 1937 in Gainesville, Texas to Raymond Brown and Willie Geneva (Nichols) Brown. Nancy married Raymond Stevens in El Paso, Texas on April 24, 1957. Nancy was a member of the Era Church of Christ. She attended Era High School and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Raymond Stevens of Valley View, Texas; son, Steve Stevens and wife, Beverly of Valley View, Texas; son, Walt Stevens and wife, Debbie of Era, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Preceded in death, parents, Raymond and Willie Brown; sister, Shirley & Max Malicote; brother, Eddie (Butch) Brown; step great granddaughter, Kennedy Reed.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bradley Stevens, Jeffrey Stevens, Jay Reed, Cole Stevens, Danny Stevens and Adrian Anderle.
A visitation will be held from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Valley View Cemetery, Valley View, Texas. Officiating the service will be Jeremy Thompson.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed talking to her at football games and Friday mornings when she and her mother came into bealls for a little shopping . She always made me laugh . Prayers for the family.
