Billy Wayne Nowlin, 67, of Denison, Texas, formerly of Whitesboro, Texas, went peacefully to his reward on the evening of December 13, 2021,
Billy was born on October 1, 1954. He was a United States Airforce veteran, serving four years. He spent almost his entire life in and around Grayson County Texas. Most of it as a lifelong resident of Whitesboro. A religious man and lifelong Christian, he used to help his grandmother, Thalia, cook the communion bread in her kitchen, which she did for 43 years. He worked as a Machinist for all his adult life, until health complications a couple of years ago. Other than talking about the Cowboys or complaining of politics, fishing was his favorite thing. He loved to see the grandbabies and had lifelong friends when he made them. He was always quick with a conversation no matter what the subject and couldn’t live without sweet tea. He will be dearly missed by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by three sons, Michael, Jesse, and Billy. He had 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael, father, Bill, stepfather, Dewey and stepmother, Loretta, as well as his grandmother, Thalia.
Graveside services were held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Dixie Cemetery.
Billy was a kind, soft-spoken man, a friend to all who knew him. He was a coworker for years at Texas Instruments machine shop, where he was dependable and a joy yo be around. Never heard him say or be anything but nice. I know he was prepared for his heavenly home though family and friends left behind are so sad to lose him. Rest and breathe easy now Billy !
