Sandra Kay Cox, 65, of Collinsville, Texas was called to her eternal home on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Sandra was born on January 31, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico to Jack Ross and Lois (Duncan) Holt. She married Charles Cox in Quinlan, Texas on May 24, 1991. Sandra was a dedicated nurse for over 31 years and was voted as one of the top 100 nurses in Dallas. She enjoyed wood working, gardening, and cooking. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her husband Charles and their children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Cox of Collinsville; children, Richard Horton and wife, Karla, Jennifer Graxiola and husband, Paul, Brian Cox, Amy Dow and husband, Scott, Kelby Cox and wife, Marissa, and Kury Cox; grandchildren, Parker, Macy, Peyton, Hayden, Cora, Weston, Garrison, Kasen, Layla, Hayes, Maggie, Asher, Kingston, Noah, Natalia, Eli, and Audrie, Great-grandchild Roseleigh, sister, Vickie Kimball and husband, Joe of Greenville; brother, Jackie Holt of Sulphur Springs; brother Gary Holt and wife, Hope of Quinlan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lois Holt and brother, James Holt.
Funeral services honoring Sandra will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Jerry Davis. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Collinsville. There will be a time of visitation held for family and friends on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
